A 3 day weekend for some of us has allowed great progress to be made on the CCT.  We have rebuilt the planking on the end door and got it painted and with all the metalwork painted separately it was soon time to re-hang them.  This has now been done, albeit with a small amount of adjustment.  The doors now even lock closed!

Andy has come down from Scotland to reinstate the framework on the side, which has been missing for a year.  With much thinking, cutting, drilling, bolting and screwing (up), the square framing and steel cross bracing has been fitted.  All we now need to do is install some diagonal bracing, a pair of top windows and the exterior and interior planking.  Looks like we will be busy next weekend as well!

The trains have returned, with the DMU passing us several times each day with good loadings as well, even on the first train of the season.  Weighbridge teas have re-opened with a quiet day on Saturday, probably due to the heavy rain and sleet we had all day, whilst today has been fairly good.  They are now open every weekend through to November.
