Well we have successfully rehung the first pair of end swing doors on the CCT. Two down, two to go! The next pair have been taken down and the small one stripped of rotten wood and a start has been made on splicing in new. A mass of steelwork parts now awaits cleaning down and repainting. We collected some new double glazed sash windows to replace the poor ones at the front of the cottages. These have now been given a couple of coats of paint – I hate painting glazing bars on each side! All being well we hope to get them changed next weekend. A new set of shelves have been made for the cottage front bedroom and are now in our paint shop (General Room) drying off ready for the painting of the other side next weekend. A further two coats of varnish have been applied to the front room floor to keep it clean and smart, soft slippers only now please!
