Well it’s still bright and sunny here, obviously the sun shines on the righteous! The CCT has had some more TLC from Scottish Andy, with the west side runner bar and timberwork above getting cleaned and painted and various other bits being fettled and painted. Our flail mower is undergoing a major overhaul courtesy of Geoff and now sports cleaned and repainted panelling and covers. The top coat is still to be applied, any ideas what colour they will be!? Stephen has returned to sorting out our workshop with further shelves constructed and screws sorted out. Two of our gates now have new floor catches fitted thanks to the welding ‘skills’ of Michael. Brian has been busy in the paddock so the lean-to on the shed is now complete with door and two gates are ready to fit to close off the rear storage area adjacent. Also in the paddock, Michael has made new wooden box covers for the outdoor electrical sockets. Further clearance has continued through the slot in the trees and some more scrub has been burnt from our lineside clearance last year.
We have had two visits from Planet and its train over the weekend in the early evenings and very nice it looks too at our station. It is with us all next weekend as well so if you missed it this weekend get down next.
Weighbridge teas have had a bumper weekend with everything selling quickly. Don’t worry though they are stocking up ready for next weekend when they open from Friday to Sunday from 10am to 5.30pm.
