19th June 2011

Following last weekend’s music it has been a dismantling weekend. The bar needed putting away along with the stage and both tents had to come down and be tidied up. We were given help with the latter by a group of Junior Volunteers, who did a great job of ferrying the bits across to our storage shed before moving on to other work. They have removed an area of grassed ash, taking the turfs onto an area of land we are levelling out, before dragging pine branches from tree clearing into a pile so we can dispose of them later.
We have been having problems of late, with sheep getting onto our line, so Stephen and Simon were out today looking for damaged fence rails and repairing them. Hopefully now the little dears will keep off the track. Our CCT has had a touch more paint applied where we have tweaked the fixings to make the doors slide better and Tony 1 has continued on his last notice board.
It was another busy weekend for Weighbridge Teas, albeit using just the outlet next to the signal box. Remember they are open every weekend, so come and try their wares or even come along and help, you will be made very welcome.
