Well summer is now officially over following this Bank Holiday weekend.  We had music on all 3 days with Pickering Acoustic Music Society (folk group), Looking Back (1960s band) and Hunmanby Brass Band on each respective day.  The real ale bar was open, as was the Tea Hut in the paddock and Weighbridge Teas.  Visitor numbers were disappointing and we will have to look at whether to repeat this event next year.  Following Monday’s performance, it was a quick dismantling of the bar, the barrel equipment and then the beer tent itself; all of it going away until its next use at the Jazz Music concert at Steam Gala Weekend in October.  The main marquee will have to wait until next weekend before we can dismantle it.

Work continues in the warehouse to make it tidier and a better workspace with more shelving installed and yet more being prepared.

The volunteer accommodation has had all its electrical appliances PAT tested for another year.

Work on the Wartime Weekend secret weapon has continued apace with most of the construction units now completed.  All we have to do now is trial erect it in secret and see what else we have to do to get it ready.  All we can tell you is that it is big-any more info and we would have to kill you!!
