Work continued after a very busy previous weekend, with the start of the tidy up on Monday. The kitchen was dismantled and given a heavy clean, table tops were removed and returned to store, trestles dismantled and the kitchen marquee taken down and left inside the main one to dry thoroughly.
Its been much quieter this weekend, not surprisingly. The highways have commenced rebuilding our access road with new drains slowly being installed.
In our yard we have dismantled both marquees, put all the bits away till next year and tidied up all the other materials – a long job with just a few of us doing it all. Its surprising how many trips it takes to and from the paddock to put it all away in its proper place!
Weighbridge Teas have been open both days but with the road closed trade has been quiet.
Don’t forget that the road to the station is now CLOSED for the next 3 weeks whilst they rebuild it. Access will only be by foot, or by rail.
