We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and didn’t overeat!
At the station we have continued cutting and burning (what a surprise) around No. 5 signal (the outer home) and the area is now much more open and you can even see the river from the train. More logs were created and a lot of these were loaded onto another Engineering train’s brake van, which was going through to Grosmont. The train also conveyed the Pway’s crane, which lifted the dolls onto Falsgrave gantry today.
At the station a lot of the NER van steelwork, that was recovered from Northallerton, has had the rotten bolts cut off and the rusty steel cleaned down. These are now in primer before being marked up and placed into store.
Weighbridge Teas has been open again over the weekend selling their usual wares. They are open next weekend (4th and 5th) and then closed until the February Half Term running.
