The daily train services have now started, with a weekend of mixed sunshine and showers. Weighbridge Teas are open and made a steady start.
The new guards duckets for the brake van have arrived and been given four coats of primer/undercoat.
Various recycled gutter bits and a couple of other new castings have been cleaned up and primed, while the A-boards being overhauled have had the top coat touched up and are nearly ready to go back into service for Easter next weekend.
The repaired pedestrian wicket gate from opposite the signal box has had some undercoat applied. More paint will be added over the long Easter weekend when it will hopefully be finished and re-hung.
We are very pleased to announce that one of our catering Wombles has been honoured to receive, from the Queen no less, Maundy money at York Minster this week for her work with various charities. Well done.
