We’ve been back at Bridge 16 this weekend. The good news is that the snow and ice has gone which has allowed us to get 2 big fires going. All the scrub from the embankment area is now burnt and the logs, which were scattered all over the hillside, have been brought down to track level. The area now looks a lot better.
There is still more scrub to burn between the railway and the river further south so we will be back there, probably next weekend.
At the station the Guards Van has had a second green coat of paint applied to the inside; the temporary door sign plates are now in undercoat; the radiator cover has had a second coat of special paint and the Meschersmitt has been treated to a coat of wood preserver.
