It’s been another sunny, dry weekend here.

The exterior wooden cladding of the container has continued, with the roof eave boards fitted and the wriggly tin roof face units cut to size.  New timber for the skirting boards in the toilet van has been delivered and cut to approximate lengths required then given a coat of primer.  The four mileposts in the paint room have had their bases bitumasticed.

The buffer headstocks of the Palvan have been given their first coat of black gloss.  The NER van – which is currently sheeted over – has had the poor paint on the east side and south end, along with the lower half of the whole west side, sanded off and received a coat of primer.

Further dead material has been cleaned out of the station ditches, where it had been causing blockages.

Weighbridge Teas have been in to do some cleaning and stock taking in readiness for the new season next month.

Further north, the fibre trench has been backfilled and tidied up between Kidstye and the 15MP.  It all looks rather neat now.
